The previous estimates are based on a poverty line which has not been recalculated in the last 20 years. The experts suggest that the methodology of interpretation of the data should be modified and have already presented alternative estimations.The tendency towards a fall in poverty only occurred during the period prior to the reform while it tended to increase during the reform period.
