 Analysis of the MPs’ performance clearly shows that while a few performed exceptionally well, the overwhelming majority of members have poor or average performance and the average itself is low. The work of the Parliament is a serious matter. The work of an MP is not only voluminous but also involves skills of no mean order. To discharge such responsibilities,one needs both sound knowledge of development theories and relevant experience. Lack of the relevant skills and appropriate experience may be the main reason for the underperformance of most of the MPs.
