Orissa Social Watch


Orissa Social Watch is a coalition of vibrant civil society organisations, NGOs, academia, media, social activists, which firmly believes that better governance is critical for equitable development and social justice to all with adequate opportunities to those who are on the margin of the society. It aims at improving education, rural livelihood, health, water management and other needs of the states by influencing and improving the governance.

It has geared its energy toward improving the governance in the state by critically engaging with institutions of governance. It plays a facilitative role for improving the process of governance in the state by bridging the gulf between citizen and institutions of governance. It ensures sustainable development by having better informed citizens and galvanizing the institutions of governance to perform.
