Jharkhand Social Watch

 

Jharkhand Social Watch (JSW) process is a collective response of a number of development organisations, social action groups, citizens, media, academia; students to assess the performance of the institutions of the governance to ensure the overall development of the citizens in the state. The focus areas of the JSW are food security, livelihood, employment, water, health, education; displacement, migration, forest rights etc.

Since, the state was formed in 2000; the JSW is trying to integrate the masses with the institution of the governance, so that the developmental benefit flow to the masses with adequate opportunities and share to the marginalized.

Currently JSW is working to assess the performance of the institutions of the governance since year 2000, the year when Jharkhand came into existence.
